Greetings from Philly!...travel bloggin' w/ Vanessa

Bucket List: Spend 24 hours in Philly *Check*
Well, ok, it wasn’t exactly top 5 or even top 20 on my bucket list, but when opportunity calls, I come running!
The Goal: film with Vanessa and sneak in some sightseeing, let’s go!
We arrive in the City of Brotherly Love at 5PM and head straight to the hotel. Can I just say that the rooms at Hotel Monaco (which is right by the Liberty Bell!!), are by far the best decorated rooms I have been in… ever. I think Vanessa and I are both equally obsessed, especially with the coordinating curtains and wallpaper. After some dinner and drinks on the hotel’s rooftop bar, we hit the sheets to get some rest for the next day of shooting.
Our day started in Azalea Garden, right by the waterfront.
For her first outfit Vanessa rocked her “Garter Belt” jeans from Bad Butterfly. See that? Yes, those are the famous Rocky Steps, aka the Philadelphia Museum of Art! When I think about Philly, I tend to forget about all of the historical places that are scattered across the city. It was amazing to even just catching a glimpse of them; take a look at some of these pictures we got while filming in the park!
The last shot of the day was right on the waterfront at Spruce Street Harbor. The park is jam-packed full of people, food trucks, colors and hammocks! They looked like a dream all brightly colored and draped under the shade, exactly what I would like my backyard to look like. We filmed all over the place, by the fountain, the arcade and ended on the steps overlooking the Delaware River.

It was a crazy day running around the city, but we we worked with such an amazing team!
Vanessa’s shoot was a success, as was my first work trip with her. 24 hours had gone by; our job was done, sights were seen and our goal was accomplished. I cannot wait to go back soon and actually see and explore the city in full.
